The BIGGEST key to growth in Kid’s Ministry

Do you ever wonder why the ministry down the road seems to be multiplying, but yours isn’t seeing any growth.

You’re doing everything right: you intentionally welcome first time guests, you have a fun environment that teaches kids about God, you partner with parents to enable them to meaningfully disciple their kids, you even teach kids and families to invite.

In other words, you’re really healthy.

Yet you still aren’t growing, and in the back of your mind, maybe you begin to think that you’re the problem.

You’re the reason the ministry isn’t growing.

If that’s you, I hope this encourages you.

Let me take the weight off your shoulders right from the start.

It’s not your job to create growth; it’s simply your job to prepare for growth, so that when God sends a harvest, you’re ready for it.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:6- “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.”

And that is what God has called you to, and as long as you remain faithful, God will come through.

So stop asking: why aren’t we growing.

And start asking: is there anything in my ministry that would ruin the harvest if God gave it to me.

If there’s things you need to take care of, be encouraged that you have a starting point.

If everything is in order and ready for a harvest, then just be patient.

Once the seed is planted, it takes time to grow.

So be encouraged that you aren’t the key to growth, God is!

I hope this takes some weight off your shoulders; I know it did for me.
